Who we are
Denver Legal Directory (“we”) publishes denverlegalguidedirectory.com, a directory of Colorado law firms. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: contact@denverlegalguidedirectory.com.
Information you give us
- Consultation requests. When you use a contact form on a firm’s listing, we collect your name, email, phone number, the legal matter you describe, and which firm you selected.
- Reviews. If you submit a review, we collect your name, rating, and review text. Reviews are held for moderation before publication.
- Email to us. Anything you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and CDN providers process your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request in order to serve the site and block abuse. We use privacy-preserving, first-party analytics to count page views; it does not build cross-site profiles of you and does not sell data. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels.
Cookies are limited to what the site needs to work: a security cookie set by our CDN and, if you sign in to an administrative account, a session cookie.
How we use it
- To pass your consultation request to the specific law firm you chose. We send it to that firm only — never to a panel of firms and never as a sold lead.
- To publish moderated reviews.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To respond to you and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
The law firm you contact receives your request. Service providers — hosting, database, CDN, and email delivery — process data on our behalf under contract. We disclose data to authorities only where legally required.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
Retention
Consultation requests are kept up to 24 months so we can resolve disputes about whether a firm received them, then deleted. Published reviews are kept until you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for a short operational period.
Your Colorado Privacy Act rights
If you live in Colorado, you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Similar rights apply to residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws.
To exercise a right, email us with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We respond within 45 days and may ask you to verify your identity. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may contact the Colorado Attorney General.
Attorney listings
Listing information about law firms is publicly available business contact information, not private personal data. Attorneys who want a listing corrected or removed can contact us and we will act on it.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
